Salvage Antiques Vintage Etc. opened just over one year ago in Florence, Colorado. Owners, Barna Kasa and Erin Sauer offer something a little different in the town known as the “Antique Capital of Colorado.” They specialize in Architectural Salvage and Vintage/Mid century items. Along with a large selection of salvage and vintage, they also carry a variety of traditional antiques and up- cycled items. Architectural salvage offerings include barn wood, furniture knobs, windows, doors, original hardware and decorative elements from old buildings. Their passion for saving these pieces stems from their years of work rehabbing and restoring old homes. Many of the items they have had a hand in removing, so the story of the piece can be told.
The store itself, being an old car shop with over 7,000 sq. ft. of open space, lends itself perfectly to the salvage, allowing for unique oversize pieces. Barna and Erin also have a few select vendors in their store whose offerings range from more traditional antiques to hand painted signs, vintage items, records and chalk painted furniture. The eclectic mix means there is a little something for everyone.
