Genna Morrow has been at Hampden Street Antique Market now for 3 years. She has two booths. One is very “girlie” with linen designs that she makes and a lot of white furniture. It’s kind of romantic shabby. The other booth represents her “darker side” as she calls it with suitcases, office stuff, receipt spindles, tables and cupboards.
Doing antiques “since dinosaurs were pups,” Genna had her own store “the Country Line” for over 17 years starting in 1987 on Gaylord Street. She also was in Littleton’s Prince Street Dry Goods, then she moved to Southglen and then to South Broadway evolving along the way. Now she calls Hampden Street home.
Genna loves old mannequins, dress forms, authentic department store signs.
She was featured in a national magazine, 12 or 14 pages in country sampler home tours.
Genna feels that Hampden Street Antique Market has a great staff and great dealers. They are all very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The Market’s merchandise is very diverse. You can spend $1 or $1000. The Market always has cookies, “We’re down to one cookie today, you have to get here early.”
Genna sums up her experience at Hampden Street Antique Market in a few words, “more refined, more service, brass elevator, nostalgic, so welcoming.”
