What Is It? July 2014

We had several correct answers to our July’s What Is It. You have all won a year’s subscription to the Mountain States Collector. The object pictured above is a wonderful old butter mold. Handmade animal butter prints, this one measuring 3 1/2 inches across, were used to stamp decorations on top of butter. Animal designs are desirable as folk carvings.
