Long Time Traditions Help Brass Armadillo Dealers

The nearly 600 Brass Armadillo dealers continue to benefit from two outstanding long time traditions begun many years ago.

The First Saturday Breakfast Tradition has continued for many years. On the first Saturday of each month between 8 and 10 a.m., dealers get together for free breadkfast: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and waffles. It gives them a chance to connect with each other.

“We meet just to socialize, pick each other’s brains, check prices, or just meet a friend,” said Dixie Kilborn. “We love meeting for breakfast. We just enjoy each other. It makes us more of a community.”

Dixie continued, “Another great tradition we share at the Brass Armadillo is our Dealer Friday Coffee Club which is at 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. every other Friday. It is also known as Dealer Payday Friday.”

“We meet in the Ski Rozansky area for donuts and to share ideas with our fellow dealers and help mentor each other. The event began many years ago and was named after Ski Rozansky, a dealer who was one of the founders of the event and has since passed on.”

“The idea was for talking, coming together and sharing. It is to help mentor, to be a productive resource for people and just help and assist as needed. It is another part of the Brass Armadillo dealer community, doing something special to help each other on a regular basis. Sometimes people need pricing information, or marketing plans or just want to share some great stuff.”

These are just a few of the ways that the Brass Armadillo tries to help each other. Their sense of community benefits tremendously.
