What Is It? May 2016

We had many correct guesses to our What Is It for May. The official description is that it is a waffle maker. The Pennsylvania Dutch sunburst adds value to this waffle maker which was designed to be placed over an “eye” or firehole, of a wood or coal range.

Carolyn Kundel of Roland, Iowa; Charles Pheasant of Centennial, Colorado; Kristy Younger, Denver, Colorado; Violet Robinson Easterling of Edgewater, Colorado; Fred Clark, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Jacqui Rutledge, Tyler Hill, Pennsylvania; Marjorie McLaren, Anchorage, Alaska; Jeannie Reynolds, Nederland, Colorado; B. Houser, Florissant, Colorado who, by the way, points out that both Pizzelles (Italian waffle cookies) and Norwegian Krumkakas can be cooked this way; Angie Wenzinger, Denver, Colorado and B.K. Palmer of Englewood, Colorado all have correctly identified May’s What Is It.
